Ruszkiewicz wins major labor endorsement
Adds labor cred to small businessman status
(Pine Island, NY) –Paul Ruszkiewicz (R,C,I-Pine Island) has been endorsed by the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council in his bid for Orange County Legislature in District 3.
In a letter to the campaign, Council President L. Todd Diorio wrote, “On behalf of the 28 locals affiliated with the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council and the 10,000+ members we represent, we are proud to endorse you in your upcoming election. We look forward to working with you on issues important to Building Trades Members and all working people in the Hudson Valley.”
“I want to thank the Council for their support,” Ruszkiewicz said. “As a small businessman, I know how important it is for commercial and labor interests to work together closely if we’re going to bring needed jobs and economic growth to Orange County. I’m gratified that the Council believes I am the candidate to make this happen in Goshen.”
Ruszkiewicz faces Democrat Harold Ciappa in next Tuesday’s election.
